Terms of Use

Effective date: July 1, 2026. These terms cover use of HelmDesk, the internal service desk for Sails Software employees and contractors.

Internal use only

HelmDesk is provided for use by current Sails Software employees and authorized contractors, for legitimate work purposes. Access is granted through your company Microsoft/Azure AD account; sharing your credentials or accessing another person's account is not permitted.

Acceptable use

  • Use HelmDesk only to raise, track, and resolve legitimate workplace requests and issues.
  • Do not submit unlawful, abusive, or knowingly false requests.
  • Do not attempt to access data, tickets, or approvals that are not routed or assigned to you.
  • Do not use the AI assistant to attempt to extract, probe, or misuse the underlying language model outside its intended support role.

Approvals and workflows

Some requests (expenses, procurement, workflow-based approvals) route through manager or department approval chains configured by your organization. Submitting a request does not guarantee approval; decisions rest with the designated approvers and applicable company policy.

Availability

HelmDesk is provided on an as-available basis for internal use. Sails Software may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, including for maintenance, without prior notice, and is not liable for any resulting inconvenience.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the service or company policy. Continued use of HelmDesk after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
